Hey everyone! It's currently 11:32pm on Monday night. I'm throwing a double dose of motivation at you this week since last week I didn't have my laptop.. again. Yes, it had to be sent out for repairs AGAIN. This time it completely wouldn't turn on. Turns out the AC Adapter had to be completely replaced. Just my luck. Anywho, glad to have it back in working condition! Enjoy, lovelies! :)
Never give up!!
True that, sista! Work your little booty off until you get what you deserve!
Remember to have a positive day! :) Hugs, Lauren *Images from google.com*
Tutorial Time!! It's time to post about my most recent tutorial. It was a simple, matte & natural eyeshadow look with super fun and dramatic, colorful eyeliner. Just your ordinary look to work, right? ;) I hope you guys like it as much as I do! It was a lot of fun to create!

P.S. Please let me know what you think of the background music. It was my first time doing something like this and I'm limited as far as the sound going up and down in the iMovie App on my iPad Mini - it's not as versatile as the actual iMovie for the computer. Thanks!
Hey everyone! So I'm trying to post this edition of "Motivational Monday" quickly because I can't later - I have work at the warehouse all day, a meeting for my internet based company tonight, and I have to get some gas before all of this! So I hope you guys enjoy this quote and have an awesome week! :)
I'm not sure if I've already posted this quote... this is my 66th Motivational Monday, according to my pictures library. Hopefully I'm not repeating any and if I am - well, you know it's a good one!! I'm working on this as we speak though, paying my bills today while also planning for my life down the road! :)
Hey everyone! I have some very exciting news to share with you all. Recently, I found out that my all-time favorite beauty guru on YouTube, emilynoel83, started following me on Pinterest. I then took to Twitter to ask her if she knew anything about my videos, as a little while ago she started following me on Twitter. She responded with the response I've always wanted to hear from her - she's a subscriber of MINE!
So that means that now she is following me on both my Pinterest and Twitter as well as being subscribed to MY YouTube Channel! This is seriously a dream of mine come true. She has been my idol for several years. I seriously feel like she could be one of my good friends - her videos and bubbly personality have been there for me some days when I felt so alone, on days I couldn't handle anymore studying, and just when I felt like hearing what an old friend had to say.
The thing about YouTube is there's a crazy connection and bond that goes on between video makers and viewers. I'm sure most people know what I'm talking about with at least one of their favorite people to watch but if not, it's one of the hardest connections to try to put into words. You really don't know that person at all, especially not on a very personal level. But there's still a feeling of genuine friendship and trust there - it's a crazy good feeling.
I first found Emily several years ago - back when she was a little more shy and in her old apartment with her husband Tyler and cat Cupcake. They bring extra life to her videos! What was so special to me was because she hadn't gained as many subscribers as she has today, (around 427,000 last time I checked!) it was easier to talk to her on a much more personal, one-to-one, basis. I came to have a certain amount of trust in her and gave personal messaging her through YouTube a try. It worked! We actually had conversations a couple times back and forth. I told her how much I loved her videos and asked her advice on how to start making makeup videos. (This was back before I even had my MakeupByLaurenAnne channel! Crazy, right?!) Emily, if you're reading this, (first of all yay!) I want to say thank you for being you. Thank you for helping me gain the courage to start making makeup videos which I have now made over 600 of, I believe, between both my channels. You're such an inspiration and you have a heart of gold. Thank you for literally making one of my dreams come true by being a fan of mine! That means more than you could ever imagine. I could only hope to meet you in person someday and hopefully become good friends. That would be the ultimate dream come true! Now that the story has been told, here are some pictures as proof of this wonderfulness!
Here's a screenshot of her Twitter "About Me" section - I've circled where it says she follows me. :)
Here's the email I received saying she's following ALL my boards on Pinterest. :) *photo from my Instagram*
Lastly, here's our conversation on Twitter. I can't explain how thrilled I was when I read her reply!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by to read this blog post, lovelies! xoxo
I've been wanting to start doing blog posts centering around nails for a while now, so why not start now?
Last week, I wore the nails pictured below. I originally got the idea to put each color placed as so from MakeupByTiffanyD. I know it's not totally gradient as the three fingers in a row have a much more chartreuse color and the other two fingers are more blue based. But the idea is there - and I wanted to use all Color Club brand polishes. So this is what the end result was.
