Hello there! So I thought I would do another easy-going post and this one is very exciting to me because it's about the purchase of my second car!!!
Here's a couple pictures of my first AND second car! :)
My first car was a blue 2000 Saturn SL2. I owned it, ironically, for EXACTLY 1 1/2 years. It was 12 years old and had over 100,000 miles on it, so it wasn't in the greatest condition. I was lucky to get that much out of it - but had to repair a few things along the way, so when I was able to finally save up enough money (and take out a loan) I was able to purchase a better, more reliable car.
This is my second and current car. It's a tan 2007 Hyundai Elantra. It's only 5 years old (that's 7 years newer than my first car) and only has 46,000 miles on it. I got a really good deal on it, plus a good deal on the trade-in value of my first car, so I was able to get this, along with a loan. But I'm so happy with it - it's a little wider and higher than my first car, which makes it more comfortable but takes some getting used to. But it's a smooth ride, has electrical windows AND doors (my Saturn only had electrical door locks) and I just really like how it looks. It just looks more sophisticated and I'm hoping to take this car with me when I move out of my parents house to the real world! :)
So there you have it - tell me what you think and which car you like the looks and sounds of better! :)
Remember to have a positive day! :)
Hugs,
Lauren
Both cars look great! But I have to agree with you that your second car seems more reliable. :) Good thing you had the mileage checked. Your second car is definitely a good deal, judging from its mileage. However, if the mileage of the car is between 155,000 and 250,000 miles, that might mean that the car has already been used a lot, and therefore, may not be in good condition. Apart from the mileage, it’s also good to consider whether the car was involved in any accident or whether it underwent major repairs.

Thank you! Yes, it's lots more reliable, which as a full time commuting college student, I really need! Thanks for the info, by the way. :)

I think it’s pretty smart that you decide to buy a new car. The 2007 Hyundai Elantra is one of the best options among the compact car models available today. It’s the fourth generation of the Elantra line, and what I love about this car is that it has better safety and convenience features. Plus, it’s more spacious, which very good if you have a growing family.

Thank you! I've had this car since March 2012 and so far it's been great! The only complaint I have it is doesn't save me money on gas, it's like the mileage is either the same or even a little worse, which I don't understand, as it's 7 years newer. My dad suggest it may be because it's a little bigger and heavier. But it's a great car all around! So much more reliable, which as a commuting college student, I need! :)
